1 – GERERAL OBJECTIVE
Empower professionals for the activity of observer of hot work in order to provide knowledge about minimum requirements and safety protective measures, health and the work environment in the activities of the construction industry, repair, and naval dismantling. This course meets the requirements of NR-34, by Ordinance No. 790 of the MTb, of June 9, 2017, which establishes the requirements for hot work.
2 – ACQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
At the end of the course, the student will have knowledge about:
- NR34 – Working Conditions and Environment in the Construction, Repair and Naval Dismantling Industry;
- The phenomenon of combustion and related concepts;
- The Limits of explosiveness;
- The Fire Classes;
- The Methods of extinction;
- Personal Protective Equipment – PPE;
- Collective Protection Equipment – EPC;
- Firefighting equipment;
- Escape routes;
- Fire prevention techniques;
- Firefighting techniques.

5 – PREREQUISITES
Be over 18 years old, completed elementary school and present medical certificate of good physical and mental health conditions or Occupational Health Certificate – ASO.

It will take place through the course manual, and through dynamic teaching about the content, along with a list of exercises that will be available after the study of each theoretical module.

2- At what time will the Professional qualified in the Basic Course for Hot Work Observer – 8h (NR-34) will act?
According to NR – 34, the observer must remain in place, in permanent contact with the work fronts, until the completion of the service, when defined in the Preliminary Risk Analysis – APR. The observer should receive training provided by workers trained in fire prevention and combat, with programmatic content described in Item 10 of this Book and minimum workload of 8 hours, established by item 1 of Annex I to the Regulatory Standard 34.
