BASIC SAFETY COURSE IN ELECTRICITY INSTALLATIONS AND SERVICES NR-10 – 40H

1 – GENERAL OBJECTIVE

Train participants to prevent accidents involving electricity, in compliance with the new text of NR-10, qualifying them for authorization to work on electrical installations.

This course meets the requirements of the new text of NR-10 Safety in Electrical Installations and Services, by Ordinance 598 of the MTE, of December 7, 2004, which establishes basic guidelines for the implementation of control measures and preventive safety and health systems, in order to guarantee the safety of workers who directly or indirectly interact with electrical installations and services involving electricity.

2 – KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED

At the end of the course, the student will be prepared to:

  • Identify possible risks arising from incorrect practices with electricity;
  • Identify the risks in your work environment;
  • Apply the company's internal rules;
  • Inform participants of the minimum conditions required by Law (NR-10 Regulatory Standard);
  • Ensure the safety of employees working in low-voltage electrical installations, in their various stages, including design, execution, operation, maintenance, renovation and expansion, as well as the safety of users and third parties;
  • Make and identify a temporary grounding. (If this is applied to the employee's work);
  • Apply the use of locks, collective protection equipment and personal protection equipment;
  • Be a multiplier of the standard’s concepts;
  • Know the legal responsibilities of the new NR-10;
  • Become an authorized and knowledgeable worker of NR-10.

3 – FIELD OF ACTION

Low voltage electrical installations. Design, construction, assembly, operation, maintenance of electrical installations and any work carried out in their vicinity.

4 – TARGET AUDIENCE

The course is aimed at professionals working in the area of electrical installations, who must be authorized to intervene in these installations and who require training on the risks arising from the use of electrical energy and the main measures for preventing accidents in electrical installations, in accordance with the provisions of NR-10.

5 – PREREQUISITES

Completed elementary education.

Content

6 – METHODOLOGY

It will take place through expository, dynamic and contextualized classes through videos, a list of exercises and practical activities will be applied, with demonstration of equipment and application of procedures. The practice will take place in the disciplines of First Aid and Fire Prevention and Fighting.

7 – DURATION

The course will be taught over 5 days (40 hours).

8 – VALIDITY

The course is valid for 2 years as described in NR-10, in the item:

10.8.8.2 Refresher training must be carried out every two years and whenever any of the following situations occur:

a) change of function or change of company;

b) return from absence from work or inactivity for a period exceeding three months;

c) significant modifications to electrical installations or changes to methods, processes and work organization.

No. This course authorizes the worker to interact or perform electrical services safely, as required by NR-10.
