1 – GENERAL OBJECTIVE
Qualify the student for advanced fire prevention and fighting tasks on board, in accordance with item 5.6.2.3 of Resolution A 1079(28) of 12/04/2013, of the International Maritime Organization, Section A-VI/3 and Table A-VI/3 of the STCW-1978 Code and its amendments.
2 – KNOWLEDGE ACQUIRED
- Control of onboard operations;
- Organization and training of combat teams;
- Inspection of fire detection and extinguishing systems and equipment;
- Notions of damage control;
- Fire fighting practice.
3 – FIELD OF ACTION
Provide knowledge on the organization, command and advanced tactics for preventing and fighting fires on board in accordance with Table A-VI/3 of the STCW-1978 Code and its amendments to all interested employees.
4 – TARGET AUDIENCE
Any Non-Crew Professional (PNT) or Non-Aquatic Crew Member (TNA) indicated or not by the company, to work in Offshore Units and who volunteers to obtain this training may apply.
5 – PREREQUISITES
The candidate, at the time of enrollment, must present to the institution that will provide the course a copy and the original (for verification) or certified copy proving that he/she is over eighteen (18) years old on the day of enrollment, has completed elementary school, has a certificate of good physical and mental health, and a certificate of the Basic Safety Course (BST) or the Basic Firefighting Course completed in the last five (5) years.
1- The waterway Those who enroll at CACI may be exempted, by the accredited institution, from the requirement to successfully complete the following courses: Basic Platform or Ship Safety, or Basic Firefighting taken within the last five (5) years.
However, at the time of registration, the water transport worker must present the following documents, in addition to those provided for in the CACI synopsis, except for the CBSP/CBSN/ECIN certificate mentioned in this item:
A) Copy (for filing at the institution) and valid original certificate, i.e. less than five (5) years old (for verification) of the Basic Safety and Instruction Training (TBS/I);
B) Declaration (original, dated, with signature and legible full name), attesting to the completion of the CACI only to obtain equivalence with the ECIA; and that, in the case of subsequent boarding in UOM/platform, the CBSP will have to be carried out, mandatorily; and
C) Copy (for filing at the institution) of the part of the Registration and Enrollment Booklet (CIR) that presents your personal data with the photo and presentation of the original CIR (for verification).
